Hello and Welcome!!

I am Greg and I am Molten Metal of NY — where one-of-one metal and wood artworks are forged to last. My work is a unique combination of two- and three-dimensional methods that combines the permanence of steel with the warmth and integrity of wood, crafted by hand to endure generations.

I create custom artwork for individuals, businesses, corporate and hospitality spaces, designers, and collectors. Whether you want a single handcrafted piece for your special place with family and friends, a series for a commercial space, or a one-of-a-kind museum-quality object for your collection, I handle every project with the same attention to craft, finish, and durability.

When not creating artworks of big western scapes and animals that I love, I work closely with every client to understand your vision, translating ideas into tangible, lasting art that celebrates your individuality, portrays your epic moment, or celebrates what you love in life.

How I work:

I use naturally aged and patinated woods and metals that portray the ruggedness and deep character in the animals and landscapes that I create. I may use paints or dyes in a limited fashion, when necessary, but I prefer to work and coax the materials and textures into speaking for themselves.

I hand cut, weld, finish and surface-treat every piece. A CNC machine cannot touch and feel the materials or handcraft art, and CNC cannot connect with you to bring your ideas to reality. So I don’t use them. And I have the pride, burns and scars to prove it.

Your project matters. I treat each of my clients as partners and collaborators. I am committed to making you feel seen through your piece. The result is not mass-produced decor but singular heirlooms—designed, built, and finished to be experienced now and preserved for the future.

Please explore the portfolio, read about the process below, and when you’re ready, let’s start bringing your idea to life.

What to Expect

Your project matters. I treat you as partner and collaborator. I am committed to making you feel seen through your piece. The result is not mass-produced decor but a singular heirloom—designed, built, and finished to be experienced now and preserved for the future.

Step 1: Connect with Me

Click the connect button and fill out the short form. Let me know when it is best for you to talk.

Step 2: Collaborative Energy

Connection is at the core of the process. Let’s get to know each other. Let’s talk about your project; what topics you have in mind, where will this be displayed, what size considerations do you have, budget, are there others that I need to also work with (such as an installation contractor), where you are located and what we could expect for deliver.

Also, please share how much, or little, you want to be updated on progress. Some clients love the anticipation and want to wait until the finished project is delivered. Others want periodic updates when there is something substantial to see. This is up to you. Let me know your preferred frequency and mode of contact.

Step 3: Followup

In this next meeting I will present you with a more refined proposal that is based on our initial connection. I will share a draft design/concepts, content, context, materials and framing. We can discuss our integrated heavy-duty french cleat for hanging, and talk about any installation considerations you have. At this stage I welcome any and all feedback you have - this is your piece. Let’s keep this stage of the progress going until we get it right!!

Step 4: Agreement

Step 5: Action!

Step 6: Finalization and Delivery

Once we have your project details worked out we I will send you a proposal and request a deposit (typically 50%). When the deposit is received, I can procure materials, place your project on the schedule and get to work.

The fun part - I get to work! During this step I will be cutting, shaping, grinding, and welding. I will also be communicating with you on the progress, but more importantly, I will be reaching if critical decision making or collaboration is needed. You can always reach out to me if you have input or a new detail popped in your head over morning coffee!

Your project is done, now we have to get it to you.
We will discuss delivery options, such as: me bring it to you, you come and get it, I crate it up and we use common carrier, your contractor come for it, etc. It doesn’t matter what we agree on - just make it fun and easy for you!
