About
I had the idea of creating this image after our last trip to Banff, Canada in the fall of 2024. I wanted to combine the strength of steel, rust, and hardwood to portray an image of one of the mightiest beasts in North America.
No paint was used. I began rusting the steel several weeks before I could begin laying out the image and cutting. I also used other patina and oxides to darken or blacken the metals.
